I get asked all the time what my number one marketing tip is for coaches, consultants and service-based entrepreneurs and my answer is always the same... to be insanely generous with how you show up and serve your community.
Add tons of value in everything that you do.
The more you show up and are generous with your community the easier it is for them to get to know who you are, what you do and how you serve.
They then start to trust you as an expert in your industry and because they like you they’ll turn to you when they’re ready to buy versus going to someone else in the industry. (nothing worse than finding out that prospect you’ve been engaging with finally purchased...but not with you, with someone else because you stopped showing up and were not visible.)
Keep showing up and being generous and serving. The more consistent you are the easier it is for you to get known as someone who truly cares about others and has a serving heart.
I learned pretty quickly in my business to play to my strength. See I’m a natural helper and connector so I started showing up at networking events and connecting people that I knew would be a great fit, engaging online and answering questions and giving a ton of value in the content that I create.
This got people's attention and made them curious about who I was and what type of work that I did.
Now when someone is looking for an online business coach to support with building a personal brand and marketing their business, I’m the first person that pops to mind and they easily can make an introduction.
Remember you’re not actually selling if you're just showing up, adding value and giving generously. No one likes to be sold to, but they love to buy.
